Our Supportive Service Offers

Behavioral and Safety Planning

Behavioral and Safety Planning is a proactive approach designed to help residents in low-income and permanent supportive housing identify behaviors and situations that may put their housing stability at risk. These plans focus on recognizing potential lease violations, conflict triggers, and safety concerns while developing personalized strategies to prevent eviction. This may include modifying daily routines, building communication and conflict resolution skills, connecting with supportive services, and creating crisis response plans. By addressing challenges such as substance use, mental health crises, noise disturbances, or property damage, behavioral and safety planning empowers residents to maintain stable housing and thrive in their community.

Building Community Supports

Building Community Supports is the foundation of fostering stability and connection in low-income and permanent supportive housing. At THRIVE, we bring essential community resources directly to residents, including food distributions, mobile clinics, educational workshops, and peer support groups. In addition to connecting residents with vital services, we cultivate a strong sense of community through monthly activities that encourage neighbors to engage with one another in a supportive and welcoming environment. By facilitating these connections and access to resources, we empower residents to build relationships, enhance their well-being, and create a true sense of home.

Connection to Medical and Dental Providers

Access to Healthcare is essential for maintaining stability and well-being in low-income and permanent supportive housing. At THRIVE, we bridge the gap between residents and long-term healthcare providers by facilitating connections to primary care, mental health services, dental care, and vision care. To ensure accessibility, we provide transportation to medical, dental, and vision appointments and bring mobile clinics directly to properties, eliminating barriers such as mobility challenges, financial constraints, and lack of insurance. By prioritizing preventive care, we help residents address health concerns before they become emergencies, reducing unnecessary use of emergency services and promoting overall wellness. We extend this commitment to residents’ pets by connecting them with veterinary resources, mobile pet clinics, and preventive care services, ensuring both residents and their companions thrive in a healthier environment.

Food Insecurities

Addressing Food Insecurity is a critical part of THRIVE’s mission to support residents in low-income and permanent supportive housing. We actively help residents navigate and complete the food stamp (SNAP) application process, ensuring they have access to long-term food assistance. To further eliminate barriers, we bring food bank services directly on-site, providing fresh and shelf-stable food options to residents who may struggle with transportation or mobility challenges. Through these efforts, we work to ensure that no resident goes hungry, offering both immediate relief and sustainable solutions to promote food security and overall well-being.

Mediation in Communal Living Situations

Mediation & Conflict Resolution is a key service THRIVE provides to support residents in maintaining stable housing and fostering a more harmonious community. Our team of Resident Services Coordinators and Case Managers offer on-site mediation at all the properties we serve, helping to resolve conflicts before they escalate into lease violations or potential evictions. We act as neutral facilitators, guiding residents through open discussions to address disputes related to noise levels, cleanliness, shared spaces, guest policies, and other community concerns. By providing structured mediation, we help residents find mutually agreeable solutions, reduce tensions, and strengthen neighbor relationships. This proactive approach not only prevents unnecessary evictions but also creates a more peaceful and supportive living environment for all residents.

Harm Reduction

Harm Reduction is a core principle of THRIVE’s Resident Services Coordinators and Case Managers, ensuring residents receive compassionate, nonjudgmental support that meets them where they are. We bring harm reduction services directly to the properties we serve, offering resources that prioritize safety, dignity, and well-being without requiring abstinence as a precondition for care. Our team connects residents with life-saving interventions such as Naloxone distribution and training, safer use supplies, and access to opioid substitution therapy. We also facilitate overdose prevention education, support groups, and pathways to healthcare and addiction treatment. By integrating harm reduction into our services, we help reduce the risks associated with substance use, prevent the spread of disease, and create a supportive environment where residents feel empowered to make positive changes at their own pace.

Mental Health

Mental Health Support & Connection at THRIVE ensures residents have access to the services and care they need to support their mental wellness. Our team plays a vital role in connecting residents to licensed therapists, psychiatrists, and other providers who offer therapy, medication management, and specialized treatment. To reduce barriers, we bring mental health services directly to the properties we serve, making it easier for residents to access care. Additionally, we facilitate on-site support groups that provide peer encouragement and a sense of community. Our staff is trained in crisis de-escalation, safety planning, and goal-setting, helping residents navigate challenges while working toward stability. By combining connection to professional care with community-based support, we help residents take meaningful steps toward improved mental health and overall well-being.

Income Stabilization

Income Stability Support is a vital part of THRIVE’s commitment to helping residents maintain financial security and prevent economic hardship. Our Resident Services Coordinators and Case Managers provide hands-on assistance with accessing income-stabilizing resources such as unemployment benefits, food assistance, and housing subsidies. Beyond connecting residents to financial aid programs, we offer on-site classes focused on essential money management skills, including budgeting, low-cost grocery shopping, stretching a dollar, and other critical financial strategies. By bringing these resources and educational opportunities directly to the properties we serve, we empower residents with the tools and knowledge needed to build long-term financial stability and reduce the risk of housing insecurity.

Substance Abuse and Dependency

Substance Use Support & Harm Reduction is a key component of THRIVE’s commitment to fostering stable housing and healthier communities. On the properties we serve, our Resident Services Coordinators and Case Managers provide nonjudgmental support for residents struggling with substance use. We connect residents to treatment programs, detox services, and long-term recovery resources, ensuring they have access to professional care tailored to their needs. In addition, we bring harm reduction services directly to residents, including access to Naloxone for overdose prevention, education on safer use practices, and referrals to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). We also facilitate on-site peer support groups such as NA and AA, creating a supportive space for residents in recovery or those exploring their options. Our team is trained in crisis de-escalation and safety planning, helping residents navigate challenges while respecting their autonomy and individual goals. By integrating harm reduction with recovery support, THRIVE helps residents make informed choices, reduce risks, and access the care they need to improve their well-being while maintaining housing stability.
